Project Work Competition

專題研習比賽

The 2024-25 Inter-school Project Work Competition (PSHE) was hosted by the Glee Path branch and was successfully held on 19th October. This competition aims at developing and enhancing students’ higher-order thinking abilities such as critical and analytical thinking and other generic skills such as collaboration, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills through an inquiry study. The topics for junior and senior groups were “‘Mega events economy can boost Hong Kong’s post-pandemic development. ’ To what extent do you agree with this statement?” and “‘Hong Kong has implemented sufficient policies and measures to protect animal rights effectively.’ To what extent do you agree with this statement?” respectively. All participating teams conducted their research analysis with lively oral presentations. 

 

Teams of students arrived on time and were well-prepared. Students put full effort and concentrated on their preparations in the classroom. The adjudicators were impressed by how students well-mastered the topics and exhibited effective teamwork. Rewarded teams demonstrated their multiple-perspective thinking, logical thinking, and reasoning ability. Students were able to make use of the given materials and their own knowledge to conduct their inquiry independently. We believe that this competition could develop and enhance students’ skills in inquiry learning. 

 

本學年(2024-25)聯校專題研習(個人、社會及人文教育)比賽在十月十九日於吉利徑分校舉行。是次活動目的是透過對議題和問題的探究,幫助學生發展高階思考能力,如批判思考和分析能力,和其他共通能力,如協作、解難、溝通及匯報表達能力等。比賽分為初級組及高級組,初級組的題目為「「盛事經濟能推動香港疫後發展。」你在多大程度上同意這種說法?」,而高級組的題目則為「「香港已採取足夠的措施以有效地保護動物權益。」你在多大程度上同意這種說法?」。各參賽隊伍均能以生動活潑的口頭報告形式,將其專題探究內容呈現在評判面前。

 

各隊同學準時出席,於課室分組討論,能專注投入,充分準備匯報。同學對題目的掌握及組內合作表現,令評判留下深刻印象。兩組得獎同學均能展示多角度思考及邏輯推論能力。學生們能運用提供的資料,加上個人認知,就探究問題,尋找答案。在沒有老師的指導下進行探究,相信這次比賽提昇了同學各種研習技巧。
